Etihad Rail passenger services have officially begun in Dubai today!

A major new chapter in UAE travel and public transport starts today, September 30, 2026, as Etihad Rail launches passenger services from Al Yalayis Station in Dubai. The Dubai station connects passengers with Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, making inter-emirate travel faster and more convenient.

For the Dubai–Abu Dhabi route, trains operate between Al Yalayis Station in Jumeirah Golf Estates and Mohamed bin Zayed City Station in Abu Dhabi. Fares start from AED 39 in Comfort Class and AED 109 in Premium Class, with the journey taking around one hour. Tickets can be booked through the Etihad Rail website and mobile app.

On launch day, Dubai–Abu Dhabi departures from Al Yalayis are scheduled at 6:14 AM, 7:14 AM, 1:14 PM, 5:14 PM and 6:14 PM.

The opening of Dubai’s station marks another important milestone for the Etihad Rail passenger network, bringing the UAE closer through a modern, integrated rail system
