March 10, 2022 - the day we rewrote our story. 🤍
This was the day my daughter and I finally arrived in the UAE, 6 months after my husband arrived ahead of us, paving the way & holding on to faith and uncertainty at the same time.
Our plan back then was clear - stay for 5 years, work hard, save, and go back home to the Philippines for good. Simple, practical, and temporary.
But the road going here wasn’t easy.
We were offloaded in the PH twice. (can share on a different story 🙃) Twice we had to return home with questions, doubts, and quiet heartbreak. It felt like every door was closing, like maybe this dream wasn’t meant for us. We even prepared ourselves for the hardest part - being apart from our daughter just to make it work.
But life had a different direction waiting.
Instead of separation, we were given something better - another chance, the right timing, and the blessing of staying together. What once felt like delays turned out to be protection. What we thought were rejections were actually redirections. 💛
And when we finally made it here, it wasn’t just about arriving in a new country - it was the beginning of a new life as a family. 🧑🧑🧒
Looking back now, that 5-year plan quietly changed into something deeper. It became a journey of growth, sacrifice, faith, and building dreams we once thought were out of reach. 🙏🏻
