This is the moment.
The June 2026 Visa Bulletin confirmed the most favorable scenario in years for global professionals from Portugal, Italy, the UK, Germany, the UAE, Colombia, Argentina, and most of the world:
✅ EB-1 (Extraordinary Ability): Current
✅ EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver): Current
✅ EB-5 (Investor): Current
No backlog. No queue. The path to U.S. permanent residence is moving faster than it has in years.
And there is a strategic path forward for virtually every profile right now.
If you are already in the U.S. in valid status, an approved I-140 means the I-485 can be filed immediately. The EAD and Advance Parole typically follow within 6 to 12 months, bringing independent work authorization and travel rights before the Green Card itself.
If you are in the U.S. out of status, your situation is not the dead end many imagine. Depending on your history and profile, legal pathways may exist. It is worth a conversation.
If you are abroad facing consular delays or restrictions, strategic alternatives exist to move forward even with current limitations.
A note worth reading: the State Department itself acknowledged that retrogressions may occur in the coming months. India is living that reality now, with EB-2 at September 2013 and a backlog exceeding 12 years.
The difference between those who make it and those who don’t won’t be talent. It will be timing.
