A Special Guest Story – From a Host’s Heart
My journey as a host has been nothing short of splendid. Hosting has given me the joy of meeting people from across the world, and with every guest I welcome, I strive to create a true “home away from home”.
Recently, I had the privilege of hosting Ms. Shradha in our 1BHK apartment at Dubai Marina. Her story touched me deeply and reminded me why hospitality is not just about spaces, but about people.
Ms. Shradha and her family were among those affected by one of the most tragic fires in Dubai Marina’s history. They lost their beloved pet in that fire—a loss that is no less than losing a family member. Yet, what moved me most was her incredible strength. She didn’t let grief consume her; instead, she carried forward with courage and hope for a brighter future.
As a host, this reminded me of an important truth: beyond profit or bookings, the least we can do as humans is to extend comfort, compassion, and support to those who walk through our doors.
I’m grateful to have met her, and I admire her resilience. Sometimes, it’s not just guests who learn from hosts—we, too, learn from our guests.
