The Khor Virap is a monastery located 30 km far from Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, and near the border with Turkey. A chapel was initially built in 642 AD at the site of Kirat Virap and over the centuries it was repeatedly rebuilt. This ashtonishing view is potentiated by the Great Ararat Mount (one of the 2 volcanic cones) with an elevation of 5,137 meters and 40 km in diameter the whole Ararat massif. One sensational place more on the travelling wish list to visit at least Once in a Life Time!!

The Lake Hillier is a lake on Middle Island, Western Australia, with the main feature of the pink color. The lake is saturated with salt, the colour is permanent, and does not alter when the water is taken in a container. The source of the pink color is still not proven in this case, but in other lakes of the region is due to either the organisms Dunaliella salina and Halobacteria or red halophilic bacteria in the salt crusts. The Vakil Mosque, in the city of Shiraz, southern Iran, was built in 1773 as per request of Karim Khan, the founder of Zand Dynasty. Vakil means 'regent', and one of the most peculiar charecteristics of this construction is the fact that it only has two 'iwans' instead of the usual four. The iwans are decorated with typical haft rangi tiles, with impressive floral design. Enjoy the views of the front door ceiling and share the post if you like it!

Erta Ale, or 'smoking mountain', is an active volcano in the Afar region of Ethiopia. The volcano is surrounded by an area below the sea level, and not much more is known as the area is one of the most inhospitable on earth! If once in your life to plan to visit it, bring one or two armed guards or police, as per the recommendations of the local people. Natural coloured beauty for a Monday, like and share! :)

Palouse, region of the Northwestern United States, brings us this refreshing and calm landscape. One of the theories about the origins of the name is the meaning in french of the close word Pelouse: "short and thick grass". In any case, what a great sensation to lay down and look to the sky from this hill!!!!

What a ´WOW´landscape again!!!!!!! The stone forest Tsingy de Bemaraha is located in the western coast of Madagascar and it is the biggest on earth (666 square kilometers!). It is a Unesco World Heritage Site, and beneath the apparent austerity of the stones, there is an extraordinary world of forest canyons and humid caves inhabited by fundamentally wild birds and lemur populations. The Chocolate Hills, Bohol, Philippines. It is a very unusual geological formation with at least 1,260 hills spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometres. They are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season, hence the name. It is the country's third National Geological Monument and proposed for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Don´t you find the name of the place good as well? We have reached more than 100 followers!! Thank you all for sharing, liking and spreading the beauty of the planet!!! To celebrate it, have a look to this stunning building in Yemen, the Dar Al-Hajar, also called the palace of the Rock. The date of foundation is unknown but it's believed to be built on a rock in 1786 and finally in 1930 Imam Yahya Hameed Al-Din added the upper storeys and annexes and used it as a rest houses. Today it's one of the symbols of Yemen. Like and share the uniqueness of this place :))))

Sagano bamboo garderns, Arashiyama mountains, Japan. One of the most spectacular gardens in Japan, it is located close to Kyoto and it contains more than 50 different ranges of bamboo trees. You can discover it by walking or cycling, during the day or even at night, as it is open 24 hours. What a place to relax and enjoy nature!! We want to visit this in 2013!!! Click & share :)

Raja Ampat, or the Four Kings, Indonesia. Archipelago comprising over 1,500 small islands, cays, and shoals. It is located off the northwest tip of Bird's Head Peninsula on the island of New Guinea, in Indonesia's West Papua province. One of the most amazing diving spots you´ll ever find in your life. Diving after Raja Ampat would be like watching TV in black and white :)) Click ´I like´if you would like to know more about it!!

Montserrat is a multi-peaked mountain located near Barcelona, Spain. It is famous as the site of the Benedictine Abbey and hosts the Virgin of Montserrat sanctuary. "Montserrat" literally means "jagged mountain" in Catalan (language spoken in Catalonia) and describes its peculiar aspect with multitude of rocks visible from a great distance, even from the coast. A fantastic destination for trekking too!! Like and share!!
