In life you should discover what you’re passionate about, that thing that makes you come alive. Over 10 years ago, I discovered that one thing for me was coordinating events. However, within that discovery, there were two types of events I said I’d never do; kids events and weddings! Lol Now here we are.

Earlier this year, we had the honor of planning proposal. It wasn’t just any kind of proposal. It was literally 2 events in one. We had to create a “fake award gala” which was actually the proposal and once said yes we had to transform the room into an engagement celebration with completely different imagery while 50ish people were in the room and without them noticing any changes. Sounds kind of impossible right? Well, we did it! It went from an award show to a “She Said Yes” event in a blink of an eye.

The next day, I wasn’t asked to be the wedding planner. I was told I was the wedding planner lol Brianna and Mookie said they couldn’t see anyone else doing their wedding other than . With only 11 months on our side, we immediately went to work! That’s how it started. Swipe left and see how it went! 🤗 (What is shown is only 1 day! There were 5 other events we were responsible for prior to wedding day within 48 hours.)

Thank you Bri & Mookie for choosing me to be your wedding planner and trusting Patrice, myself and our team to do 3 days of events! I hope everything was what you imagined and more!

None of this would of been possible without our vendors and most importantly the team Y’all held it down, thank you, thank you! Hope y’all got some rest by now! 😩

Last but not least , I know you dislike events! 😂 but thank you for being on this journey with me and always doing whatever, whenever!! All of our spats, laughs, tears were worth it in the end. “We did it Joe!” 🙌🏽

Happy Juneteenth! ✊🏽 I am a black woman! I don’t tear down other black women. I have felt the pain of being torn down and will be deliberate about building others. All too often, we women find it easier to criticize each other, instead of building each other up. With all of the negativity going around, let’s do something positive and strengthen each other!!

Of all the highlights of 2019 that I posted in my story, my favorite one has to be saying I Do...thank you for loving me daily through it all, the endless nights from me working, my mood swings (some your fault 👀😂) and for ultimately choosing me to be your wife when you could of picked any woman in the world!
