Lalbagh Fort, also known as Fort Aurangabad, is a fascinating Mughal fort complex in southwest Dhaka, Bangladesh. Begun in 1678 AD by Mughal Subahdar Muhammad Azam Shah, who later became emperor, its construction was halted when his successor, Shaista Khan, did not continue the project after taking over in 1688. Despite remaining unfinished, Lalbagh Fort stands as a testament to the region's rich Mughal heritage and is a major historical site and tourist attraction in Dhaka. Visitors can explore the fort's beautiful architecture and get a glimpse into the opulent past of the Mughal era.

Choto Sona Mosque, a historic monument from the Sultanate era, is located in the Chapai Nawabganj district of Bangladesh. Built between 1493 and 1519 under Sultan Alauddin Husain Shah, this well-preserved structure boasts fifteen domes adorned with intricate terracotta designs. The mosque premises, enclosed by an outer wall with a gateway on the east side, span 42 meters. The interiors of the domes and vaults feature terracotta embellishments reminiscent of local bamboo cottage frames. The mihrabs and their frontal arches have elegant cusped edges, while the decorations include round mosaic ornaments in blue and white with variegated patterns.
