🏔️ A Historical Moment on the Roof of North Africa: Mount Toubukal 

On 26 March 2026, young adventurer Iya Krish created history during a winter expedition to Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa.

At just 7 years and 11 months old, Iya successfully climbed beyond 3,500 meters in extreme winter conditions, becoming one of the youngest adventurers to achieve this remarkable milestone on Mount Toubkal during a winter expedition.

The mountain tested the team with harsh weather, deep snow, powerful winds, and difficult terrain following a recent avalanche. Due to the dangerous summit conditions and the impact on her feet during the climb, the team made the responsible decision to turn back before the final summit push.

Because in mountaineering, safety always comes first. Mountains will always remain there, but bringing every team member back safely is the greatest achievement.

The expedition received incredible support from the local Berber mountain guides and appreciation from members of the French Alpine community for the team’s responsible and professional decision-making in extreme conditions.

This unforgettable journey was Hosted and Managed by Greenway Adventures and led by certified mountaineer , accompanied by her proud father, .
