🌿🏰 The Legend of Rozafa

One of the most famous aspects of Rozafa Castle is the tragic legend tied to its construction. According to folklore, three brothers were building the fortress, but every night, the walls would collapse. A wise old man told them that the only way to keep the walls standing was to sacrifice one of their wives by burying her in the foundation.

The brothers made a pact not to reveal this, but the two older brothers broke their promise. Only the youngest brother kept his word, and his wife, Rozafa, was chosen. Before being walled in, she made a request: to leave one breast, one hand, and one foot exposed so she could still feed and comfort her baby.

To this day, parts of the walls appear damp, symbolizing her *flowing milk.* Would you visit this legendary castle? ✨
