August 11, Armenian ancient New Year - Navasard! Rise of constellation of Orion in the ancient observatory of Karahunj. It was so magnificent to stand here at 04:00 am and watch the stars the same way as our ancestors did for thousands of years! On this day at 04:00 AM Hayk (Orion) first fully rise over horizon bringing the new year, new energy and harmony. In Armenian ancient calendar we had 12 months of 30 days each, and the 13th month (the month of Gods for all ancient civilizations) which consisted of 5 days and 6 hours and the new year started on August 11.
