In 1915, in the Ottoman Empire in Turkey, nearly 1.5 million Armenians were massacred - the first ethnic genocide in the modern world. Men were forced into menial labor, women and children were made to march into the hot dry Syrian desert - and ultimately robbed of their lives. Some Armenians managed to flee their ex*****on and settled in different parts of the world.

In an Armenian church in Esfahan, home to a small Armenian diaspora, I read that Hi**er referred to the Armenian genocide (quote above👆🏼) while convincing his troops to undertake the ethnic cleansing of Jews. He convinced them that there will be no consequences.

It’s 2019 now. While everyone acknowledges the horrors of the holocaust in N**i Germany, only 29 countries officially recognise the Armenian Holocaust. Turkey doesn’t. India doesn’t either.
