Guarding the gates of the south. 🏰🦅
The 18th-century towers of Meghri Fortress blend so perfectly into the jagged cliffs, it’s hard to tell where the mountains end and the history begins. A true testament to the strategy and strength of David Bek’s liberation forces.
The hike up is steep, but the view from the top? Absolutely timeless.

So here is an incredible archeological site dating back to 2nd - 3rd century BC in South eastern Armenia … The making of karasses for wine production had become so highly advanced that here we have possibly the first (and only?) evidence of production of double karasses . Two karasses possibly made simultaneously, one inside the other, giving rise to what could only be some of the earliest examples of “temperature controlled” wine making 🤩 NOW THATS SOMETHING TO SHOUT ABOUT !🤩🤩
