The exhibition is a great opportunity for us to reconnect with our valued partners, meet new buyers, and showcase the diverse travel experiences and the have to offer. We’re delighted to be featured in this wonderful article showcasing Armenia as a destination that’s full of surprises, authenticity and unforgettable experiences.

The feature came about following a press trip we organised with the support of the Strategic Development Agency NGO Agency, and coincides with the launch of the new direct Wizz Air flights between London and Yerevan.

From the vibrant streets of Yerevan and breathtaking mountain landscapes to centuries-old monasteries, local music and warm Armenian hospitality, it’s fantastic to see Armenia through the eyes of a first-time visitor.

At Phoenix Tour, our mission is to create meaningful travel experiences that reveal the country’s true character, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see that reflected in stories like this.

🟡 Building Bridges Between Armenia and European Tourism Markets 🌍🤝

✨ Meaningful partnerships begin with meaningful experiences.
As part of its Regional Tourism Development intervention, the RECONOMY programme has supported its partner tour operators - Phoenix Tour Armenia and AM TRAVEL - in organizing a Familiarization (FAM) Tour to Armenia🇦🇲, welcoming European tour operators and travel companies to experience the country’s diverse tourism offerings firsthand.

🤝 This initiative builds on the business connections established during the New Deal Europe Marketplace 2026, transforming networking into meaningful partnerships and creating new opportunities to position Armenia on the European tourism map.

🗺️ Over five immersive days, participants have discovered a country where ancient history meets modern hospitality. From the vibrant streets of Yerevan 🏙️ and its rich cultural heritage to the spectacular landscapes of Vayots Dzor and Dilijan ⛰️, from centuries-old monasteries 🏛️ and breathtaking natural wonders to authentic culinary traditions🍽️, world-class wineries🍷, artisan workshops🎨, and unforgettable local experiences, every destination showcases the richness and diversity of Armenia’s tourism potential.

More than a study visit, this FAM Tour is an investment in long-term collaboration. By experiencing Armenia’s tourism products and services firsthand, participants gain valuable insight into the country’s unique offerings while exploring opportunities to develop new travel products, strengthen business relationships, and expand cooperation with Armenian tourism operators.

A fantastic few days showcasing the very best of to a group of and tour operators and travel media.

Organised in partnership with the (SDA) within the scope of the RECONOMY programme, the familiarisation trip was designed to give our guests a firsthand experience of everything that makes Armenia such a compelling destination—from its rich cultural heritage and world-class gastronomy to its renowned wine traditions, breathtaking landscapes and warm hospitality.

Following the launch of direct flights between London and Yerevan, there has never been a better time to discover Armenia. By experiencing the destination themselves, our partners return home equipped with the knowledge, confidence and inspiration to introduce Armenia to new travellers and develop exciting new programmes.

Throughout the visit, one message came through time and again: Armenia is an “untouched beauty”, a “hidden gem” and a “small country that packs a punch.”

A heartfelt thank you to all our partners for joining us—we look forward to seeing even more travellers discover Armenia in the months and years ahead!

Attending Deal Europe for the first time and representing Armenia was a meaningful step for us at . It was an important opportunity to share the country’s depth as a destination and to connect with partners with a genuine interest in the region.

This milestone was made possible within the framework of our strategic partnership with the Strategic Development Agency NGO ( ) and the project. We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate and showcase Armenia as a dynamic and diverse destination.

A special thank you to Natalia Turcanu, Tine Murn and Simon Young for the excellent coordination and for creating such a valuable platform for connection and exchange.

As a follow-up to the event, we were also honoured to be hosted by the Armenian Embassy in London and His Excellency Varuzhan Nersesyan, where we had the pleasure of discussing ongoing developments in Armenian tourism, as well as opportunities to further strengthen Armenia–UK cooperation in this field.

We look forward to building on these constructive partnerships and continuing to strengthen Armenia’s presence in the global tourism landscape.
