This remarkable bronze statue represents Anahit, one of the most revered goddesses in ancient Armenian mythology.
Today, a surviving fragment of her statue is proudly displayed at the National Gallery of Armenia in Yerevan, preserving the legacy of a powerful female deity from Armenia’s pre-Christian past. 🇦🇲♥️

Today we celebrate the Triple Holiday: the WWII victory, the liberation of Shushi, and the founding of the Artsakh Defense Army. A powerful symbol of our strength, unity, and freedom. 🇦🇲

🇦🇲 April 24 in Armenia is Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, honoring the 1.5 million lives lost during the Armenian Genocide of 1915.

Tsitsernakaberd Memorial is Armenia’s official monument dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. Located on a hill overlooking Yerevan, it was completed in 1967. The site features a 44-meter tall stele symbolizing the national rebirth of Armenians, and twelve leaning slabs arranged in a circle, representing the lost provinces. At the center burns an eternal flame.

Each year, thousands gather at Tsitsernakaberd, to lay flowers at the eternal flame and pay tribute to the victims.
