Trchkan waterfall
The Armenian nature will not leave you indifferent, and the Trchkan waterfall is there to prove it.The waterfall is located above the Chichkhan River, which originates from the slopes of the Shirak Ridge, located at an altitude of 2250 meters above sea level. Water pouring down the waterfall is crystal clear and after witnessing it once, you won’t be able to mix it up with any other place. The Trchkan waterfall is also called the Armenian Niagara. This landmark was listed as a Natural Heritage site in 2008, and was included in the Protected Sites of Armenia in 2011.
Khndzoresk Swinging Bridge
One of the most beautiful places in Armenia is the swinging bridge located above the gorge of Old Khndzoresk. If you love the thrill and are not scared of heights, then this bridge will be the perfect place for you to take incredible photos. From the bridge there is a picturesque view of the gorge, covered with green forests and ancient caves.The length of the bridge is 160 meters, the latitude is 1.5 meters, and the height is 63 meters. When you try to look down you will be caught in awe!Due to this beautiful construction and its great beauty, the Goris region attracts more and more tourists each year.
Tatev
One of the most beautiful and picturesque places in Armenia is Tatev monastery and its surrounding sites. This area is famous for being a home to the longest reversible cable car in the world. Its length is 5752 meters, and the height is 320 meters. This cable car was even included in the Guinness Book of Records.The path towards the monastery in the cable car takes around 12 minutes . you’ll fly over the gorge of the Vorotan River. From this incredible height you’ll be able to take a huge row of beautiful and unique photos .
Mount Aragats
The highest mountain of modern Armenia, Aragats, is only within a few hours ride from the capital Yerevan. Aragats is an extinct volcano with four peaks. You just have to look down from the top of the mountain and you will immediately feel an adrenaline rush! Peace, harmony, unity of the soul with nature and unforgettable memories await you on the top of Mount Aragats.
