ARMENIAN CUISINE
In ancient times, especially in the era of the Urartian kingdom (IX- VII BC) the population living on the territory of Armenia, engaged in agriculture, cattle breeding and study of agricultural products in food preparations. Excavations of Karmir-blur provided valuable material on the basis of which one can judge the nature of the nutrition of the Urartians. During the excavations, extensive granaries, crucian carp, jugs filled with grain, special vessels for the preparation and storage of beer and sweet acicum were discovered. In Urartu, small-family fava beans and fine-grained lentils were widespread.
