9 de julio, Día de la Independencia de la República .

On July 9, 1816, the so called then the United Provinces of Rio de la Plata (nowadays ), declared its independence from Spain.

In the preamble of the National Constitution, welcomes "all men in the world who wish to dwell on Argentine soil".

On August 12, 1889 a group of 824 Jews came to Argentina escaping the in . That very day the Jewish population of Argentina increased in 60%. These Jews where the founders of Moises Ville in Santa Fe Province, opening a new chapter in the History of the Jews in Argentina: the so called the Jewish Colonies and the Jewish gauchos.

The gauchos are the locals who had the skills to work the land and to take care of the cattle.

This picture was taken in 1930. These Jewish young men got adapted to life in the countryside, wearing the typical gaucho garment.

Los gauchos judíos... Moisesville fue la primera Colonia Judía del país. Fundada en 1889 por un grupo de 824 personas lideradas por el Rabino Aaron Goldman. El día que llegaron al puerto de Buenos Aires, la población judía de la Argentina se incrementó en un 60%.
