Barraco Lodge is ideally located for exploring the natural treasures of northern Patagonia and the Pacific coast: wild rivers, waterfalls, hidden lakes, glaciers, volcanoes, granite cliffs and some of the oldest tropical rainforests in the world.
The lodge is completely off-grid, generating hydroelectricity with a turbine that uses water from a stream that runs through the property. The water comes from the same virgin stream. With a recycling program, the Lodge is 100% sustainable.
Barraco is a typical Patagonian style lodge, built entirely with local craftsmen and materials, blending harmoniously into the natural surroundings. The lodge has three separate guest houses, all with private rooms and en-suite bathrooms, and stunning views making a perfect option for families, groups of friends or just for keeping privacy.
Barraco Lodge pays special attention to fresh local ingredients, most of the vegetables come from their organic garden and greenhouse, and guests are encouraged to visit and participate in the process.
All activities are private for fully personalized and intimate experiences. Barraco is one of the best equipped lodges in the region, with helicopters, motorboats, kayaks, river rafts and horses.
Professional guides are available for fly fishing, rafting, hiking, camping, horseback riding and heli-skiing.

How to get there: By road from Puerto Varas, 150 kilometers and 3 hours, or from Puerto Montt, 130 kilometers and 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a 30 min helicopter ride from Tepual Airport at Puerto Montt flying over the Alerce Andino National Park with its high-altitude lagoons to reach the Reloncaví estuary and begin to go up the Puelo River.
