Marjan Grum es un artista esloveno nacido en 1939 que desarrolló su carrera en Buenos Aires, especialmente en La Boca. Marjan Grum is a Slovenian artist born in 1939 who developed his career in Buenos Aires, particularly in La Boca. His personal history — shaped by exile following the Second World War — runs through all of his work. Initially self-taught, he combined trades such as metalworking with artistic training, eventually creating his own cultural space in a traditional conventillo in the neighbourhood.
His work brings together painting and sculpture in a highly expressive, richly textured style. His pieces often feature intense human figures, frequently linked to themes such as pain, memory and the human condition. He is not concerned with decoration; rather, there is a clear intention to convey emotion and leave a lasting impression, both on a personal and a social level.
