Today was such a treat! After dropping kids off with childcare, we headed deeper into the heart of a waterfall-filled valley carved by ice during the last Ice Age. We enjoyed a stop at a mountain hut for homemade ice tea, radlers, and lunch before finishing the last bit of running for the day. If you’re a parent, you know that runs can often feel rushed between work, taking care of kids, and endless tasks. It was so nice to be able to pause and spend more time out in the mountains together today before heading back for evening family adventures.

Day 2 of our Family Runcation in the Swiss Alps was amazing. We got to spend time in the mountains with our little ones so that they could say they got to hike in the Alps also. 🫶 After they played lakeside, we got in a mountainside meal with views far across the Alps. In the afternoon we dropped the kids off with our childcare team and headed for a flatter run underneath waterfalls pouring into the valley. We had time to grab a drink or hit the spa before pickup and got excited about heading further into the mountains on our run day 3!

Our first family Runcation with childcare is here! We’ve been loving the Swiss Alps as a home base so far. After settling in, we set out for our first morning out with the other parents. We dropped our kids off with the childcare team before setting off for our first trail run of the trip. We got a chance to enjoy some extra time to relax and drink coffee before meeting back up with our families. For the afternoon we headed up to a mountaintop playground for the kids adjacent to a bar and restaurant for the adults. Cheers to an awesome first day 🍻

Wrapping up the final morning of our Dolomites + Slovenia Runcation with our final run in Slovenia. Sometimes, like in this first photo captured by Dario Bett , our trips are so much more than just the running. The sense of accomplishment, new bonds, and connection after a week of running through the mountains together are also souvenirs to take back with you after the trip ends. What a wonderful week with you all! A big thank you from all of us!
