In an exciting finish last night, River Plate squeezed by in a penalty shoot out against San Lorenzo to advance to the quarterfinals. The semifinals were reprogrammed to be midweek in just a few days due to the missing fecha from the league strike earlier in the season. Boca Juniors fell out against Huracán, but have 2 Copa Libertadores matches lined up later this month. Schedule, tickets and info in our bio!

This past weekend was full of clásicos or derby matches where 2 of the big 5 teams play each other (Racing Club, River Plate, Boca Juniors, Independiente and San Lorenzo). River came away with the victory this time (0-2), but despite the home team Racing Club loss we had one young pair of brothers who were delighted to see their River Plate heroes victorious!

A weekend full of clásicos! Boca Juniors vs Independiente (1-1) we had a great group. “I finally got to complete my childhood dream of seeing La Bombonera in action”. We love to hear it time and time again.

Another solid group from all around the world for the Boca-Instituto match (2-0). Boca finally put a win down in the Bombonera after a dry spell of home field ties since Feb. Great video of Boca’s entry at the end!

A super group from all around the world on Wednesday for Boca Juniors vs San Lorenzo. Boca finally broke their dry spell with a 1-1 tie for this clásico match up. Fans from Italy, Japan, Switzerland, Germany, US, England, Scotland, Norway, Mexico, Belgium, Australia, Honduras, Spain and Portugal! Possibly our most diverse group ever!

A proper bienvenido for Velez from their dedicated fans dubbed the “Fortineros” against juggernaut River Plate. It was well worth it with a 1-0 victory. Velez remains just outside the “big 5” clubs of Argentina’s Primera league (River Plate, Boca Juniors, Racing Club, San Lorenzo and Independiente), but with a few more titles and one of the largest stadiums in a Argentina perhaps this will change soon!

An unfortunate scoreless match for Boca on Sunday that they hope will be remedied for their coming match against clásico opponent Racing Club on Friday. We had a great group that enjoyed the Bombonera atmosphere anyway! We are currently sold out for Friday, but likely to see some openings due to the ill timed general strike mañana that will include the international airport.

In one hand we had a great mixture of guests yesterday from all around the world, a nice variety of sections and in the other hand River Plate was on the business end of a whooping for the first time in a long time! We all had a great time though!
