"In our Buenos Aires Street Style series we visit different areas of the city, speaking to stylish locals about their outfits and fashion tastes. We start this season’s series in the ‘too-trendy-to-fail’ neighbourhood of Palermo. "

"With a storied literary history, Buenos Aires is certainly no stranger to creativity, but it’s the visual arts that have been blossoming lately. Street art is widely popular in the Argentine capital, and proper white cube–style galleries are flourishing as well. Here, we round up five such institutions—from a photo-centric spot in a residential building to a massive space perfect for housing large installations—that champion Latin American contemporary art by both new and well-known names."

These 5 galleries are at the forefront of the city’s creative push

"It’s the perfect time to escape Buenos Aires and go mountain biking, grape picking, or catch some late summer rays at the beach.

In Argentina the Autumn season officially begins on March 21, and at the time the country’s many destinations are at their finest. Weekend getaways from capital Buenos Aires are diverse: It’s harvest time at the foot of the Andes in Mendoza wine country, and up-and-coming region Uco Valley proves its mettle with luxury lodgings and classy wine flights. The crowds have slunk away from popular at coastal city Mar del Plata, mountain bikers will appreciate cooler climes in Tandil, while neighboring Uruguay’s Colonia del Sacramento fuses colonial history with relaxing riverside retreats."

"An undeniable magnificence envelops Buenos Aires, Argentina. Beyond the amiable weather, there's an energy buzzing through the South American city and its residents. Modern, cosmopolitan neighborhoods yield to historic pockets—announcing the many periods where the port city was a global trade destination.

There's an array of world-class architecture stretched across BA that calls attention to its diverse influences and periods. And, of course, the food is some of the best in the world. Both indoor and outdoor, day and night—from tango to a European-like nightlife scene—there's something for everyone. A visit is generally only inhibited by its sheer distance from the Northern Hemisphere, but its merits are many.

While in Argentina to tour the vineyards of Cheval des Andes, we spent time exploring the city under the guidance of Clément Le Coz who runs a cultural and social concierge service aimed at acclimating ex-pats. The following eight locations reflect the broad range of wonders the sexy city has to offer."

"If you’ve been to Argentina in the past four years, you’ve found out that the best deal is to take your money in large bills and to change it illegally. Tourists from around the world have gotten more for their home currency thanks to Argentina’s booming black market, where pesos have typically traded for 30% less than the official rate. For Argentine citizens willing to accept a lower rate in return for the perceived safety of dollars, the black market had become the only way to get around the government’s tight currency controls.

Now, all this is changing."

No more cheaper pesos for tourists.

"Just to the north of Buenos Aires, the sprawl of the city yields to the Paraná delta, a watery maze covering 17,000 sq km. It is a landscape one might expect to see in Florida’s Everglades, rather than within striking distance of the Pampas lowlands.

Here Nervous Waters, a company known for its high-end fly-fishing lodges in far-flung parts of the Andes, has teamed up with Noel Pollak, a renowned local guide, to open Delta Lodge. The concept is to show guests a part of Argentina they likely never knew existed for a night or two, with the chance to cast for, and catch, one of South America’s legendary fish."

"South America's most glamorous metropolis, Buenos Aires sweeps visitors off their feet with an array of galleries, museums and restaurants, and fantastic fin de siècle architecture that won this city fame as the Paris of South America.

Few places match the passion and drama of the Argentine capital, the city that gave the world tango, immortalized Eva Perón and whose roller-coaster history has seen more ups and downs than Mickey Rourke's movie career.

Don't lament, and certainly don't cry for BA.

Instead, embrace the brash, modern beauty of this fast-moving city, using this guide to the best of Buenos Aires."
