🇦🇷 In Argentina, we take friendship so seriously that we have a national holiday just to celebrate it. 🇦🇷🎣

For us, fly fishing has never been solely about the trophy trout, the pristine rivers, or the breathtaking Patagonia landscapes. It’s truly about who you share the boat with, the late-night stories by the fire, and the bonds that grow stronger with every season.

At SouthernLoops, we foster lifelong friendships with each of our guests.

First our promotional tour, now the World Cup... it seems Argentine passion is officially a trend around the US! ⚽🇦🇷🎣

We just sent out our latest newsletter recapping our incredible journey through Oregon and Colorado.
We shared stories about the awesome events we put together with Jeff Perin at The Fly Fisher's Place (around Bend and Sisters), the presentation we gave at The Peak Fly Shop in Colorado Springs and catching up with legends like Tim Rajeff along the way.
We also take a look at what we're up to this winter in Patagonia and provide an update on our remaining openings for the upcoming 2026-27 season, which are already starting to fill up following the trip.

One of the most unique and deeply meaningful gifts we brought back from our US tour was a set of traditional Tibetan prayer flags.

We want to send a heartfelt thank you to Tim Rajeff from ECHO Fly Rods & Reels for this incredibly special present. These flags have already found their permanent place in our home here in San Martín de los Andes, Argentina.

In Tibetan tradition, these flags are meant to be touched by the wind so that the prayers, goodwill, and positive energy can be carried across the land. As the fierce Patagonian wind catches them today, we hope our deepest wishes and gratitude are scattered far and wide, reaching beyond any physical boundaries.

🏔️ 737+ miles driven, zero lines in the water, but one unforgettable Colorado road trip! 🇺🇸

While we didn't have the time to actually gear up and fish Colorado's legendary rivers on this trip, we spent an incredible week on the road, driving over 737 miles to connect with the state’s amazing fly fishing community. 🚗💨

Our journey took us on a massive loop, connecting the northern regions of Denver—exploring Fort Collins, Boulder, Arvada, Lafayette, and Longmont—all the way down south through Littleton, Lone Tree, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Salida, and Buena Vista.

Everywhere we stopped, we were warmly received by fantastic fly shops teams that showed a deep interest in partnering with us to host exclusive group trips to Patagonia for their clients.

A major highlight of the tour was having the opportunity to give a live presentation about our operation and hometown in Argentina. A huge, heartfelt thank you to Brad & Sherry Tomlinson for graciously organizing this event at The Peak Fly Shop, and to the packed, enthusiastic audience who joined us with amazing energy! 🥂🇦🇷

We are officially back home in San Martín de los Andes and ready to put some epic dates on the calendar for the upcoming seasons!!

🌲 The First Chapter of our US Promotional Tour: Oregon! 🇺🇸

Our journey started in the breathtaking landscapes of Bend and Sisters, and it was a milestone we will never forget. This trip was all about friendship, community, and connecting the soul of Patagonia with the Pacific Northwest.

❤ A massive thank you to our dear friends Dan, Charlotte, and Grace 🐶 for opening their home to us. Every single minute spent together was packed with laughter, love, and unmatched hospitality. You made our stay truly unforgettable!

🎣 We had the honor of participating in several events put together by our great friend Jeff Perin from . He helped us bring the SouthernLoops spirit, the rich culture of Patagonia Argentina, and our shared passion for fly fishing to both old and new friends. Thank you, Jeff—we are forever grateful for this amazing opportunity!

🍇 One of those unforgettable events took place at the beautiful Riverview Lavender . Abby and Ted graciously opened their doors and helped us host an authentic Argentine dinner. We shared traditional empanadas, ribeye (ojo de bife), fresh salads, and classic flan with a wonderful group of new friends. Thank you both for such a magical space!

🐟 We also got to experience the local waters! We spent a few hours on the stunning Metolius River—where we caught our first-ever trout outside of Argentina—and celebrated Jeff’s birthday at his absolute favorite spot, Paulina Lake.

🤝 Among the incredible new connections we made, a special highlight was meeting Tim Rajeff and his wife Katherine. They welcomed us into their home for an amazing evening of appetizers and conversation, allowing us to share the vision behind our project.

Thank you to every single person who made this trip an incredible step forward for SouthernLoops. We can’t wait to return the hospitality and share good times with you on our rivers in Patagonia soon! 🇦🇷
