Hiking VS Trail Running?

Although hiking and trail running are similar in many ways, they offer very different experiences.
They both allow you to enjoy nature and escape from work and daily life, but they are very different. The benefit of hiking is that you can take it easy while getting out to enjoy nature at a slower pace, whereas trail running makes you more competitive and lets you forget about the gear and backpack and just run.
Running on trails is often a high-intensity workout, while hiking can range from a short hike to a long distance trek.

A trail run is a great way to explore nature while staying fit, but hiking can be more accessible to beginners.
The overall accessibility of hiking also explains much of the popularity of hiking over trail running.
