Last night we read ‘the boy who sailed the world’ and at the end of the book there is a picture of a world map and it says ‘what are your dreams, where will you go’? Since we got the book the boys will say Antarctica to see the penguins- well last night it changed…… 🥰

The new destination is the pyramids and big sand dunes to run up and down ☺️.

By the end of the weekend I would’ve done two more things this week which has pushed me out of my comfort zone and i am proud of myself for doing it.

Right now, I’m focused on learning new skills and exploring exciting hobbies, which are boosting my confidence and motivation. These experiences are not only enriching my personal life but also enhancing my professional endeavors, particularly in this business.

The advantages of trying something new—meeting new people and dedicating time to yourself—are immense. It’s all about stepping outside your familiar boundaries.

Les 3 vallèes, France the worlds largest interconnected ski area
The Three Valleys is dominated by four major resorts: Courchevel, Méribel, Les Menuires and Val Thorens. Each of these four resorts has more than enough terrain to keep you happily occupied for a week or more during a skiing holiday in France, so the opportunity to ski all four provides you unlimited permutations.

While this isn’t where I ventured at 21 years old in Australia, I highly recommend it! Fraser Coast, nestled in Queensland, is celebrated as the whale-watching capital of Australia and offers incredible opportunities for exploration. You can easily drive from Brisbane, which takes approximately three hours, or opt for a direct flight from Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.

Accommodation options abound, from camping sites to hostels and apartments. Fraser Island is a must-visit if you’re journeying along the Pacific coast from Queensland to Cairns.

Plan your trip to Hervey Bay between July and October for a breathtaking experience with humpback whales as they come to play. While you’re there, explore the historic town of Maryborough, swim in the crystal-clear waters of Lake McKenzie, or relax in the Champagne Pools, nature’s own bubbling whirlpool bath. There’s so much to do, and the duration of your stay will depend on your interests!

It’s also super fun ⛷️

But yes learning something new as an adult has so many benefits including enhancing your mental health. Physical activity releases endorphins and other feel good chemicals, while the task at hand acts as a distraction from daily stresses. Making learning a new sport something so much more beneficial than you thought. It provides you with tangible sense of accomplishment, building confidence making you feel more capable and empowered.

So why not give it a go? Places are now open for my beginner ski tour in January 2026, in Morzine, France a great resort to start your ski journey.
