The Razelm, Sinoe and Golovita lakes are adjacent - from South to the Danube Delta.
Ancient Greek settlers established colonies along the Black Sea shoreline
(most of them V-VI century B.C.) later taken over by the Roman Empire.

Those colonies went into decline with the fall of the Byzantine Empire and the Ottoman expansion toward North.
