From Monte Pana to the Langkofelhütte and back through the Confiboden — an unforgettable hike through the heart of the Dolomites. 🏔️✨

Hiking in the Langkofelgruppe has been on my bucket list for a while, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. 😍 The views, the rugged peaks, and that Dolomites magic… absolutely worth every step! 🥾❤️

Autumn in the Trascău Mountains, a picturesque range in western Transylvania, transforms the landscape into a vivid mosaic of gold, crimson, and amber. The dense beech and oak forests glow under the crisp sunlight, while mist drifts through deep valleys and limestone cliffs. Traditional villages nestled among the hills come alive with the scent of wood smoke and freshly harvested apples.

The Transapuseana mountain road winds gracefully through this scenery, offering breathtaking views of rolling ridges, karst plateaus, and hidden gorges. Traveling it in autumn feels like a journey through a living painting — serene, colorful, and deeply rooted in the rustic beauty of Transylvania.

Pico Ruivo via PR1.2 (Achada do Teixeira → Pico Ruivo → return), Madeira

The PR1.2 trail from Achada do Teixeira to Pico Ruivo is one of Madeira’s most accessible and rewarding hikes. This out-and-back route leads to Pico Ruivo (1,862 m) — the island’s highest peak — offering panoramic views over the rugged central mountains, deep valleys, and often a sea of clouds below.

The well-marked path is approximately 5.6 km round trip and takes about 2–3 hours to complete. It features a steady but moderate ascent on a stone-paved trail, making it suitable for most hikers with a reasonable fitness level. Along the way, you’ll pass scenic viewpoints and experience Madeira’s unique high-altitude flora.
