It’s the 4th time I have organised the 3 countries‘ traverse, leaving me flabbergasted each time. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding this incredible journey, and each time, I get the chance to fine-tune it, taking it to the next level. We have been riding some technical trails, hiking our bikes, and suffering from climbs on long days. We dealt with 3 flat tyres, rode through 3 countries, and did it all with 3 highly motivated mountain bikers. One of our guests has been with us since the very beginning. Despite arriving with knee issues, he impressively managed to complete the entire journey. 3CT, you are a beauty and I can’t wait for the next one!

Get ready to go around the alps-without a train ticket! Our epic bike traverse across three countries, Austria, Switzerland and Italy is guaranteed one for the books. Rally up your adventurous spirit as we mountainbike with only our personal belongings stuffed in backpacks and bikes that are just begging us hit those Enduro trails in the alps full of long sinlgetrail descents (totalling 12000m!). The grueling ascents may be challenging but they lead you to awe-inspiring sceneries worth every minute spent pedaling uphill. Got wanderlust? Come join us on this amazing voyage without ever leaving Europe; an adventure fit for action junkies!

We’ll all meet up in Ischgl on Saturday evening to get acquainted, grab a drink and gear-up before we hit the trails. During our six night stay, you can expect rotating accommodations from huts to apartments that will keep things as fresh as our itinerary — which won’t be locked down until Monday. So whatever Mother Nature throws at us or however hard your thrills may run, we’ve got it covered with included breakfasts each morning plus some surprise celebration drinks scattered throughout (surprise...like where?). And of course there’s the farewell breakfast Friday morning when it comes time for us all part ways until next year! Pretty sure that there will be a next year as some riders are joining for 3 years in a row! We have 3 spots left on this iconic bike trip! Check out the link in bio for details.

In the midst of winter we are sometimes daydreaming about our bike trips for upcoming summer.

Our all time favorite is probably the 3 country traverse! Starting in Austria making our way through Switzerland and Italy to end up in Austria yet again. A mind blowing trip with diverse scenery, food, nature & trails.

The feeling is hard to describe.. but it is a journey through the Alps which will be engraved in your memory forever!

This year we are organising the trip on request! So various dates are available between July and end of September.

This year we had the chance to visit Morocco 🇲🇦. An exotic destination on Europe’s doorstep. Even though there was a devastating earthquake. We decided, after carefully weighing the options, to make our way to the Atlas Mountains.

First and foremost to be a “tourist” and help the area out with spending our budget at the local hotels, and restaurants. We didn’t know what to expect really.

Driving our way up to Imlil, we found traces of the earthquake destroying houses and roads. 5 villages are still living in tents.

The village was still pretty quiet without many tourists. Our plan: explore the Atlas by bike. We hired some bikes, and an MTB guide and off we went.

Astonishing nature with a diversity of colours. From red to black dirt and everything in between 🌈. The trails resemble a modern skatepark and invite you to play. A contemporary trip through the heritage lands of Morocco. It ended with all of us singing some Gnawa music in the car and eating preserved lemon chicken tajine back in Imlil!

What a day, what a country, we are in ❤️!

E-MTB’s some love ‘em, some hate ‘em! This London based mandem tried it out nevertheless.

A bangin’ trip in the Swiss alps. Single trail adventures on the menu, which were exposed & challenging. A great city escape with hut 2 hut tours, rugged scenery, bunk beds & Swiss cuisine. 🇨🇭🗻🚲

Last week, The Black Sheep visited the holy grail of European mountainbiking in Italy 🇮🇹🍕🍝!

The Ligurian mountain range offers world class trails varying from loamy playful channels to hardcore downhill tracks.

Rain or shine, all day every day, great trails, amazing people & even better food! Thank you for a week of riding Ligurian dirt with an Italian spirit 🤌…

Winter is over and we already explored some new terrain in Provence, France and Liguria, Italy! Our trip took us along the coastline of the Mediterranean. From French unmaintained natural trails to MTB heaven in Finale Ligure. A trip that is cultural, a treat for foodies and also exhilarating because of the endless opportunities with the bike.

We found our MTB mecca. Where all great things in life come together. Sun, sea, mountains and badass trails. We couldn't be happier at Black Sheep!

I remember the sadness that came over me when the last dump of the year had fallen and the snow slowly faded away. I already longed for the start of winter again.
