We have a new Nespresso coffee machine, and milk frothier for our guests this Summer.

The Julius Meinl Espresso pods are now home compostable.
Meaning all of these pods can be composted on site in our garden compost, and the compost used next year to grow produce which everyone can use ( like our courgettes that are already flourishing this year)

Sunny winter days at Haus Otis.
Skis at the ready for the next snow due this week. The nearest ski resort of Goldeck can been seen in the mountains opposite from our Balcony.

Haus Otis is now prepared for the future of Electric cars.
11kw wall box Electric car charger is now installed.
Guests of Haus Otis are now able to charge their cars conveniently on site during their stay.

Winter days at Haus Otis.

Even the youngest enjoys the Pistes on Goldeck and hiking in the woods behind the house.

Due to Covid-19 (Corona virus), The Austrian Government has restricted holiday rentals for the next 2 weeks at minimum. Therefore Haus Otis is unable to take bookings for those wishing to stay for the current period.
We will then remain closed due to the arrival of our new baby for the duration of April and May.

Providing we are allowed to by the Austrian government, we will be re-open as usual from June 1st 2020, and look forward to all of our summer guests arriving here in Millstatt.

The large amount of snow we had at Haus Otis before Christmas has now gone. However, there is still snow high up in the surrounding mountains. These pictures were on our recent wintery walk up in St Oswald, Bad Kleinkirchheim. The lovely sunny weather, surrounded by snow with a hot chocolate from a mountain hut, makes a lovely day out.
More snow is forecast all over Carinthia later today.

Happy New year from us all at Haus Otis.

The first snow of the 2019/20 has now begun here in Millstatt.

This was taken this morning on the Millstätter Alm at 1000m high.

There is a now a snowy view of the mountains directly in front of Haus Otis, with the peak of Goldeck ski resort visible as a shimmering white.

Summer is in full swing at Haus Otis.
The garden is now producing a variety of fruits, vegetables and herbs in both the new raised beds and around the general garden. Mangetout, Beetroot, Radish, tomatoes, Runner beans, Salads, Spinach, Apples and Courgettes.

Guests staying at Haus Otis have been able to help themselves to any fresh produce available.
