☀️ last call for summer creativity! 👐🎨
Our final Kids Ceramics Summer Camp of the season is coming up — the last week of August, just before school starts!

It’s the perfect way to ease back into rhythm while still soaking up the joy of summer.
A week full of play, focus, imagination, and muddy hands 💛

Working with clay isn’t just fun —
🧠 it also helps children develop patience, fine motor skills, and longer attention spans.
They learn to shape, wait, observe — and express themselves through their hands.

🎒 Before the backpacks come out, let’s give them one more creative adventure!

why does pottery make us so happy? 👐✨
Because it slows us down.
Because we get to use our hands — not just our heads.
Because shaping clay is like shaping thoughts — messy, grounding, full of surprises.
Because the wheel hums and our minds go quiet.
Because it’s okay to make something imperfect — and love it anyway.
Because it connects us — to the earth, to ourselves, to each other.

We see it every day in the studio:
Pottery brings joy. Real, deep, simple joy.
And that makes us happy too.

C E R A M I C S — 8 letters, countless possibilities.
Here’s our tribute to the magic of ceramics — one letter at a time:

C – Clay: humble, messy, and full of potential
E – Explore: textures, glazes, shapes — there's no end
R – Relax: the wheel spins, your breath slows
A – Art & accidents: sometimes they’re the same
M – Make: with your hands, your heart, your whole self
I – Imperfect: and that’s exactly what makes it beautiful
C – Connect: with yourself, with others, with the earth
S – Surprise: you never know how the kiln will answer 🔥

Ceramics is more than craft — it’s play, process, patience, and poetry.

thanks Tabea for these beautiful lettering

allround ceramics — or should we say wonderfully messy? 🌀
Every week, we gather around the table…
to create, shape, talk, laugh — and sometimes just to be.

It’s more than a ceramics class — it’s a rhythm, a ritual, a community.
Clay connects us, conversations flow, and time slows down.

We’re thinking of renaming it:
allround mass? allround laugh? allround friends? 💛
Whatever the name, the feeling stays the same: warm, welcoming, wonderfully messy.

silk screens = pure creative joy! 🎨🖌️
There’s something magical about pulling a print and revealing what’s underneath — bold lines, layered colors, textures that surprise you every time.

Playing with silk screens is part art, part experiment, and 100% fun.
You can go graphic or loose, minimal or wild — and every print tells its own story.

Perfect for curious minds, playful hands, and anyone who loves getting into the flow of making.

💥 Come try it out in our next ceramic session at commonroom!

the poetry of the shades of the clay.
This piece was created using a marbling technique — a gentle mixing of different clays to let nature's palette speak for itself. No glaze patterns, no decoration — just earth, movement, and fire.

We love how simplicity allows for texture, contrast, and quiet surprises to emerge.
A reminder: sometimes the most beautiful details are already within the material.

In the Flute Song Collection, we'll get out our instruments and play along to the jazzy original "Blue St. Pat," search the "Pawpaw Patch," and climb aboard the "Train to the City." And those are only three of the twenty-five songs you'll learn, which include Music Together® originals and traditional songs. In addition to classes, your tuition includes a new songbook with beautiful color illustrations for each song, a newsletter full of resources and music-making ideas, and online access to your songs through the Hello Everybody app. Each song is brought to life through colorful and engaging illustrations by award-winning artist Jaime Kim and children's book illustrator Gerald Kelley.
