Sometimes dividers between balconies on cruise ships can't open (usually on older ships). That didn't stop us from having fun on Norwegian Cruise Line

Back when I started sailing Virgin Voyages in 2024, I didn't know that I would love them so much that I would sail on all four ships by 2026! While the areas on the ships are similar, the art is different!

One of my favorite things to do on the ship is the "Artist's Scavenger Hunt" - you get clues and have to run around the ship taking selfies of all of the artwork. Sadly my Alaska sailing didn't have this event but they had so many other exclusive Alaska events that I can forgive them.

Had an amazing time on the Brilliant Lady!

While all of the ships are a similar layout, the small changes on the Brilliant Lady were really nice. There is more lounging areas around the roundabout and we saw plenty of people using these areas. (on other ships we rarely saw people in these areas because the space is used differently).

The area by the Loose Cannon has more seating too which was great for trivia and other activities they do in the Social Club.

Scarlet Night is inside on every Alaska sailing and it was surprisingly fun! I had low expectations - how can you have a deck party inside? But it was well done and we had a great time. I only have one really blurry picture from that night so you'll just have to experience it yourself!

You never know what kind of weather you'll get in Alaska. We had a great time both days at Dawes Glacier - absolutely worth seeing no matter the weather.

Hiking in the North Cascades and found mountain goats while we were looking for a geocache. We didn't find the cache because another family of goats came after this one and were not pleased that we were there 😅😬

I love seeing wildlife but prefer to have to use my binoculars. Remember to give wildlife plenty of space, especially when there are babies around.

When you sail Alaska with Disney, these are some of the views you can expect! All of these photos are taken while onboard the Disney Magic.

I love watching the scenery change while sailing and of course looking for wildlife. Pictured is a humpback whale. We've seen porpoises, otters and seals from the ship. Others have seen orcas and bald eagles too!
