Our travelers Gerhard & Margot recently returned from their fly-in safari through Botswana and Victoria Falls. While we were travelling through Kenya ourselves, they surprised us with some wonderful feedback from their journey.

Gerhard, a passionate photographer, had his camera with him and captured some truly special moments along the way. We couldn’t keep these beautiful images to ourselves and will be sharing some of them with.

For us, there is always something special about first planning a journey together and then having the opportunity to experience a little of it all over again through the eyes of our travelers 🐘

Enkewa Camp, Maasai Mara 🐾

We visited this beautiful camp last week and had such a wonderful stay. Set in a quieter, low-use area of the Mara, Enkewa offers a wonderfully private and authentic safari experience, away from the crowds.

Satao Camp, Tsavo East National Park 🇰🇪

Not our first visit, and it certainly won’t be our last. Tucked away in a remote part of Tsavo East, Satao is a charming camp with a warm atmosphere, an excellent team and exceptional value. We love it for both couples and families, with tents and suites overlooking a very busy waterhole in high season.

Keep an eye out for the resident impalas, or head to the viewing hide for a closer look at the wildlife coming to drink.

And if you’re looking to combine safari with some time on the coast, Satao connects beautifully with a few days on the beach in Diani.

Welcome to our home for the night 🏕️

No lodge. No facilities. No fences. No one else around.

Just our Land Cruiser 80, a rooftop tent, and plenty of wildlife somewhere out there 🐘

Some of our equipment is brand new, which means camp setup currently involves a little bit of trial and error.

Luckily, we’ve sped up the video 😄

Once everything is finally in place, there’s not much left to do except light the fire, pour a drink and switch on Bush TV🔥
