Romance Galore... Taking a getaway to the next level.. Our beautiful grazing boards can be added on when booking with us... They are an awesome addition to an outdoor bath... The board has been designed to fit over the bath stool, so guests can happily soak and snack the night away ... We can also pick up champagne and place on ice or pick up roses and place them in the chalet ready for guests on arrival.. Give us a call and we can arrange.. Tree Story | From 30cm high saplings to towering trees | Here's a little timeline snapshot of our family's tree story | ⁠
2008 - Planting 6000 trees by hand using a Pottiputki planting stick NOTE: kids are kind of helping but mainly eating the chocolate brownies and grandmas mandarines⁠
2009 - Young trees are about 3 foot high and growing well⁠
2010 - Trees are over 2 metres tall. We start selecting the trees to keep and trimming their lower branches off (Boys have chosen 'their' favourite tree)⁠
2012 - Trees are too tall to trim off the ground. For the next 4 years we will trim by hand from a cherry picker. (Andrews shoulders were 😫)⁠
2016 - Trees are 8 years old and have their final thinning. We choose the strongest, straightest and tallest trees to keep. (The idea is to have an 8M radius between tree trunks but we fail miserably at this as we love our trees)⁠
2019 - Tree Chalets opens⁠
Over the next few years: We feed, monitor growth and make sure the trees around the chalets are pruned. ⁠
2025 - Our trees today. The plantation has evolved into a stunning vista | All for the enjoyment of our chalet guests. ⁠

Our guests love looking at, listening to and staying amongst these beautiful trees... Want to be part of the Tree Chalets experience? Designed as an adult only getaway each chalet has a private 2 person outdoor cast iron bath on the back deck. The baths are positioned to take in the stunning night sky. They are also just 1 metre from your bedroom, making it easy to pop out to the back deck for a soak at any time of day or night. Guests can get up close to nature with 5km of walk trails on the property. There are kangaroos aplenty and prolific birdlife.⁠
