Beyond the Vine Wine Tours

Beyond the Vine Wine Tours We run tours that showcase the best of South Australia, taking guests to top attractions and renowned cellar doors.

Beyond the Vine operate a selection of day tours from Adelaide to different regions around South Australia exploring and discovering the best and most exciting food, wine, wildlife, people, history, landscapes and experiences South Australia has to offer. We understand through over 20 years of touring experience that your time is valuable and when you book a holiday or escape, you want every momen

t to count. You, just like us, want to look back with fond memories of your time and experiences during your journey with us. We aim to deliver a relaxing and comfortably paced journey that connects you to the regions and highlights the attractions that we visit. We care about our good storytelling and hosting and we strive to develop our tours, hosts and guides to reflect the regions that we tour and more importantly the people and locals within by delivering insightful history and local knowledge. SMALL GROUP DAY TOURS
The majority of our day tours are delivered in a more intimate, small group approach with no more than 12 guests. Many of the attractions that we visit are marketed towards smaller groups and we believe this is the best way to create memorable and relaxing experiences where guests can enjoy the company of other like minded guests and avoid the hassle and issues that larger bus and group tours may present. We know your time is valuable and we want you to get a true experience on your tour. OUR DIFFERENT STYLES
EXCLUSIVE TOURING OPTION
Due to Covid, we now offer guests an Exclusive Touring option on most of our day tours where guests who desire additional privacy from other travellers can book their own vehicle and tour host for the day. With a minimum number of 2 guests required, the tour is conducted following the same itinerary as promoted on the tour webpage. FAMILY FRIENDLY TOURING
Not all of our tours through wine regions are focusing on the food and wine of South Australia. We have a number of tours that visit more Family Friendly attractions within the wine regions. Yes, there may be one or two wineries included on the day, however they have been carefully selected due to their facilities or offerings being better suited to families and children.

We also offer a great range of Family Friendly tours that focus on wildlife, history, railways, and general tourist attractions. TAILOR MADE AND PRIVATE TOURING
Beyond the Vine tailor make tours and experiences to your requirements for one, two or more guests. If you are wishing to celebrate a special occasion, wanting to entertain clients, catch up with family and friends or visit a sought after winery or attraction on a once in lifetime holiday, we can create a full itinerary and private tour for your enjoyment. SOUTH COAST WINE TRAIN TOURS
We are the operator of the South Coast Wine Train tours showcasing Langhorne Creek, Currency Creek and the South Coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula. The tours start from both Adelaide and the Adelaide Hills township of Mount Barker on selected dates throughout the year. This is a large group tour with guests travelling on both 50 seat luxury coaches and heritage trains. This tour can also be arranged as a charter for larger private and corporate groups.

Rooted in Time | Barossa Vines

Leaning into old concrete posts and stretching past a weathered shed, this gnarly old vine is pure Barossa — tough, enduring, and full of character.

Long before cellar doors and tasting rooms, vines like this shaped the region's reputation. They’ve survived droughts, storms, and decades of change... and they’re still standing.

A quiet reminder that some of the richest stories grow closest to the ground.

Picked with Purpose 🍎 | Lenswood Apples

Nestled in the heart of the Adelaide Hills, Lenswood has been growing apples for over a century — and behind that legacy is the Lenswood Co-op, established back in 1933 by a handful of local growers who believed in doing things better, together.

From generation to generation, the Co-op has helped this cool-climate region flourish, turning apples into a symbol of community pride and perseverance. Today, it’s still 100% grower-owned, still based right here in the Hills, and still delivering some of the crispest, freshest apples you’ll ever taste.

Here’s to the trees, the growers, and the stories behind every bite.

That old red truck at Mollydooker might not drive far anymore—but it sure knows how to park itself in the perfect spot 🍷🚚

Captured during the lush days of summer in McLaren Vale, this scene may have faded, but great reds are timeless. No matter the season, there’s always something worth discovering at Mollydooker.

🍇 The vines in the foreground have already let go, while others still hold onto their last shades of green and orange. A soft stillness has settled over the hills — gum trees watching on, dry grass stretching between the rows, waiting.

There’s a quiet beauty in this in-between time — where one season fades and another slowly takes its place.

🚙💨 Spotted: the Austin A40 ute living its best vintage life in the Adelaide Hills — still hauling more charm than horsepower.

Some say it’s slow… we say it’s just giving you more time to admire the scenery (and maybe pick up a crate of apples on the way). 🍎⛰️

Built by hand. Steeped in history. 🍷

These incredible red gum vats—still used to make fortified wines today—were crafted over a century ago by the Potts family, pioneers of winemaking in Langhorne Creek. They stand as living relics in the cellar at Bleasdale Wines, one of South Australia’s oldest continuing wineries, founded in 1850.

The story began when Frank Potts, a British sailor, carpenter, and boatbuilder, stumbled upon these fertile plains while travelling to a ferry master job. Struck by the promise of the land, he stayed—and planted the first vines in what would become one of Australia’s most important wine regions.

From clearing red gums to crafting vats and building boats, Frank’s legacy lives on in every beam and barrel. Today, five generations later, Bleasdale has earned many awards and major trophies and continues to make exceptional Shiraz, Cabernet, Malbec and Verdelho on its 115-acre estate.
