Earlier in the year I was commissioned to come onboard with an amazing project by and their initiative. �This ‘Splash-A-Fash’ program is a multifaceted platform to create a supportive and marketed community for our local and emerging fashion designers! �Sadly, because of the Coronavirus all things have understandably has been put on ice for the moment.

My post today is of one the many hand-made, designed and installed pieces I created on the request of who is the Wiz-Kid at the wheel, and who kindly asked me to provide some visual ‘vision’ for this project�I will reveal more of this work in the coming months.👍

This image of our illuminated drapes are from the interior of the Splash-A-Fash destination boutique. This vacated tenancy in the Central Market Arcade, adjacent to has been decked-out and revived to physically host the many moving parts that this program will offer.

My job was to reimagine the space and existing fixtures, and coordinate, design and create new fittings and decor to provide an amp’d-up and visually captivating place. In doing so I needed to provide flexibility and multi-functional pieces, that will accomodate each participating designer, community gatherings and also the visiting public.

This energetic, electric blue sateen is seen only from within, with a crazy, crushed velvet, eden green layer presented to those passing by the shops external windows.
My immense thanks to my beautiful Mumma and HERO for her skills and expertise in helping me create these bespoke curtains and for seeing-out my “big idea’s’🙏
Word to the wise….sewing meters of crushed velvet is not for the faint hearted! We’ll forever share that experience Mum!🙈😛
