VALE GARY “ANGRY” ANDERSON 🖤 1947-2026

The Rock The Boat and Choose Your Cruise family is deeply saddened by the passing of Australian rock legend and Rose Tattoo frontman, Gary “Angry” Anderson, aged 79.

For 50 years, Angry was an unmistakable voice and presence in Australian rock, leaving an extraordinary legacy that will live on through his music and the countless people he entertained along the way.

We were incredibly proud to have Angry as part of the Rock The Boat family performing in 2014, 2017 and planned for this October's 2026 voyage. His place in Australian rock and in the history of Rock The Boat will not be forgotten.

Our deepest condolences go to Angry’s family, friends, bandmates and the entire Rose Tattoo family at this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in peace, Angry.
A true Australian rock ’n’ roll outlaw. 🤘

SPAM UNOFFICIAL GROUPS AND PAGES

Please be aware that the only official Rock The Boat channels on Facebook are the following:
Official pages: Rock The Boat / Choose Your Cruise
Official Groups: Rock The Boat Official Group / Choose Your Cruise Passenger Community

There are multiple pages and groups where real passengers are members and while we cannot stop anyone from making or joining such groups/pages, please be very aware these are spam groups. They operate innocently counting down cruise-time, letting passengers post and interact but with one motive... to steal your information and spam you.

We report these pages and groups however Facebook does not remove or take them down unfortunately, so we can only encourage you to engage in the official channels as the administrators are C*C staff and we remove any spam content.

These groups already are promoting people to click to buy merch (we only sell RTB merch onboard and not beforehand), there will also be admins encouraging you to CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR THE LIVESTREAM.

Let us be clear: We will NEVER do a livestream of any performances on the ship or encourage you to buy access to view performances, the only way to see the artists performing on our ship is simple... be on the ship!

We understand this creates confusion as many think these other pages/groups are official channels and that's their mission, to confuse and therefore capitalize upon our passenger families trust and manipulate it and steal your identity/funds or more.

Any groups or pages called Rock The Boat 2026 or otherwise is not an official Rock The Boat or C*C affiliated channel in any way, and chances are the administrators will try to scam you at some point (most likely once the cruise departs, trying to capitalize on people not on board to give their bank details). There are other pages posing as 'Rock The Boat 2026' which again while the members and passengers are innocent, the admins have ulterior motives.

This group linked here is the fake group (BEWARE) > https://www.facebook.com/groups/1913762789519177/
We encourage everyone please click and report that group so we can try and get it removed. We here at C*C want you all safe not just on board, but online too. Be vigilant and NEVER click on any merch or livestream links as it is NOT us.

ROCK THE BOAT 2026 ARTIST UPDATE

Please be advised that Rose Tattoo will no longer be performing onboard the upcoming 2026 Rock The Boat voyage. We respect the privacy of Angry and his family during this time.

Following the recent cancellation of Rose Tattoo’s European tour due to a medical issue, the band provided an update with the following:

“Your thoughts, prayers and well wishes mean more to Angry and his family than we can express. We would like to let everyone know that Angry suffered a cardiac arrest and is currently in hospital receiving Treatment and the care he needs.
At this time, we kindly ask that you please respect the privacy of Angry and his family as they focus on Angry, his treatment and his recovery.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding and ask that you continue to keep Angry and his family in your thoughts and prayers during the days ahead.
“We are incredibly grateful for the love and support that has already been shown. It is comforting to know just how many people are thinking of Angry and wishing him strength in his recovery.”

As 2006 ARIA Hall of Fame inductees, and with more than 50 years of Rose Tattoo at the forefront of Australian rock, Angry and the band have made an extraordinary contribution to Australian music and culture.
We send our love and best wishes to Angry, his family and the entire Rose Tattoo family at this difficult time. Angry and Rose Tattoo will always be part of the Rock The Boat family.
