The Port Adelaide Lighthouse standing at the end of Commercial Road at Port Adelaide. This is the third location that this portable iron lighthouse has called home. It was first erected in 1869 when it stood at the entrance to the Port River near Outer Harbor. It then stood on Neptune Island in the Spencer Gulf until it was re-erected in this location at Port Adelaide in 1986. It is on the State Heritage Register and you can find out more about it at Professor Miles Lewis' upcoming free public lecture on 'PORTABLE BUILDINGS: PORT ADELAIDE TO DARWIN.'
