Stage four or metastatic breast cancer means that the cancer has spread beyond the breast tissue into other areas of the body, such as the bones, lungs, liver or brain. Metastatic breast cancer has no cure, but can be treated. Breast Cancer Trials is committed to finding new treatments for metastatic disease and currently has three clinical trials open to metastatic patients.
