Make the most of the July school holidays with a family adventure at Dolphin Sanctuary Kayak Tours It’s a chance to get outside, enjoy the fresh winter air, and experience the natural beauty of Port Adelaide together.

Winter is a surprisingly great time to explore the sanctuary, with calm waters, fewer boats, and peaceful creeks creating ideal kayaking conditions. These family-friendly tours offer the chance to see resident dolphins, paddle through ancient mangrove forests that have stood for over 10,000 years, and cruise past striking shipwrecks from another era. You might also spot a few migratory sea birds along the way.

No previous kayaking experience is needed, and the pace is relaxed and comfortable. Children aged 9 and over are welcome and must ride in a double kayak with an adult.

Looking for a school holiday bucket list playground? The Quentin Kenihan Accessible Playground is a must.

Located in Rymill Park, this fully fenced spot is named after the Adelaide icon and we loved our return visit this weekend. With toilets, plenty of space and some fabulous water play, this is a great one for the kids to explore all the sensory play.
