🇹🇷 HALFETI, TURKEY. A HIDDEN GEM ON THE EUPHRATES

Ever heard of Halfeti? This extraordinary Turkish town sits on the banks of the Euphrates River and is famous for its partially submerged old town, where a mosque minaret still rises dramatically from the water.

Take a boat cruise through the turquoise waters, explore the ruins of Old Halfeti, discover the nearby Rumkale fortress, and look out for the region's famous black roses, which have become a symbol of Halfeti. 🌹

And Turkey is getting easier to reach from Australia.

💦 FUN FACT. Iguazú Falls makes Niagara look small! 🇦🇷🇧🇷

Iguazú isn’t just one waterfall. It’s a massive system of around 275 individual falls, stretching for almost 3 kilometres along the border of Argentina and Brazil.

The most spectacular section is Devil’s Throat, where an enormous volume of water crashes into the gorge below. 🌊

And here’s the impressive bit. Iguazú is nearly three times wider than Niagara Falls!

Definitely one of those places where photos just don’t do it justice.

🚆 All aboard for Machu Picchu! 🇵🇪

There are train journeys, and then there’s the Belmond train to Machu Picchu.

Travelling through Peru’s spectacular Sacred Valley, surrounded by mountains, rivers and incredible scenery, before arriving at one of the world’s most iconic destinations.

Definitely one for the bucket list. Machu Picchu in style!

🇯🇵 We loved our time in Okinawa, Japan.

Getting there is easier than many people think. We flew via Singapore, but you can also reach Okinawa through Taipei, Shanghai, or Tokyo, making it a great destination from almost anywhere in Asia.

Beautiful beaches, amazing food, friendly locals and a much more relaxed pace than mainland Japan. Definitely worth adding to your travel list!
