Each trip Big Heart Adventures co-ordinates, aims to raise community and self-awareness and offer the opportunity to raise funds for charities and non-profit organisations. It's hard to believe, but as winter comes to an end it's not just spring that's just around the corner, it will be 2027 before you know it! So now's the time to be planning those big adventures, and one of the most popular destinations on the 2027 calendar is Japan!

If you've never been, of you're busting to go again, our adventures are a great way to experience Japan the Big Heart way. Small groups, wonderful cultural and nature experiences, and we're literally the only commercial operator in the world offering guided treks on Kohechi!

Tonight’s post has been a tough one to write and we’ve taken a few days to gather words that seem fitting for what’s happened in Nepal these past few days.

We know that many of you have been overwhelmed (as we are) by the devastating images and video of the flood.

The global trekking community far and wide have been impacted along with the communities living along the river system.

We want to send our heartfelt wishes to the beautiful Nepalese people and our trekking partners. Sending hope, love and light.

We know we can all feel a bit helpless in times like these, waiting for news of those missing and hoping for miracles.

Our friends at Himalayan Development Foundation Australia - HDFA have suggested ways to support those on the ground - both Phase Nepal and Red Cross (the largest aid organisation in Nepal) are organisations you can give to among others coordinating emergency response on the ground.

Today our friends at Jenny’s Place set off for an absolute trek of a lifetime in Peru.

There’s something about trekking for purpose, for change and for knowing that your efforts will have far reaching impact.

And that’s because this group have raised a whopping $129,953 and are just $58 off their target of $130,000 for Jenny’s Place.

Jenny’s Place have supported women and children impacted by family violence, to find safety since 1977 in the Newcastle NSW area.
