Conquering the Six Foot Track...on foot!

The Six Foot Track in the Blue Mountains got its name because the original 1884 trail was built exactly six feet wide - just enough for two horse-drawn drays to pass each other without anyone going over the edge.

But our Gold Hike participants? They walked it, which is the best way to experience the beautiful Blue Mountains, in our humble opinion.

Not a bad setting for a Silver Practice Canoe adventure.

The Hawkesbury River - known to the Dharug people as Dyarubbin - has been a source of food, trade and deep cultural connection for around 50,000 years. Paddling through it, it's not hard to understand why. Some places just hold something special.

Our kind of Odyssey.

Ice skating, misty morning canoe sessions, historic lighthouses, long stretches of beach and plenty of city exploring thrown in for good measure. Every group brings their own energy and every trip takes on a life of its own.

This is what we get to do. We never take that for granted.

There's something that happens up on the high ropes that's hard to put into words. One step at a time, heart hammering, and then suddenly - you're doing it. You're actually doing it.

Leaves, bark, flower petals and a group of Year 7s who didn't know yet what they were capable of creating together. This is one of our favourite activities because it asks students to slow down, look closely, and collaborate without any pressure. The result speaks for itself!

Still water, big skies and red canoes gliding through Morton National Park.

Some days out on the water everything just clicks. The paddling finds its rhythm, the noise of everyday life fades out, and all that's left is the sound of paddles dipping and the laughter of happy students. Year 9 got one of those days, and we think they'll remember it for a while.
