Travel advisory update: Due to the recent escalation between Israel & Iran & the subsequent bombing by USA, has resulted in temporary airspace closures across several countries, including Iran, Iraq, Syria, Jordan & Israel this has led to significant disruption to flight paths & schedules.
While key transit airports such as Dubai, Doha & Abu Dhabi remain fully operational, carriers including Emirates, Etihad, Qatar Airways, Lufthansa & British Airways have been forced to reroute services. The diversions are often via Egypt, Turkey or Central Asia & can add hours to long-haul routes, impacting onward connections & raising the risk of delays. While currently it remains safe to transit through Dubai, Doha & Abu Dhabi, there is an increased operational complexity that may affect schedules.
As a result of the conflict, some carriers have temporarily suspended flights to high-risk destinations such as Tel Aviv, Baghdad & Tehran, while maintaining services through Gulf hubs with adjusted routing. The airlines will offer alternatives or advice regarding refunds or rescheduling to other departure dates if flights are cancelled.
To keep updated on your upcoming booked flights it is suggested to download the individual Airline App’s or sign up for notification on the Airline’s website. Along with these measures travel agents will be receiving flight notifications of changes as wells as key information from their airline suppliers.
