On one side there is a rural view, taking in vineyards and the Mount Lofty Ranges, while to the front, Gulf St Vincent appears in all its glory. The house is set out on one level and raised to provide car parking and storage beneath. The north eastern deck which is located off the kitchen could be used for brunch or informal meals while the open front deck is ideal for larger gatherings and long lunches. When the doors are open the entertaining area is effectively doubled and the indoor outdoor spaces do indeed blur. In winter with the bifold doors closed the main living area becomes snug and warm. The house's relaxed holiday atmosphere and the interior colours that take their cue from the natural surrounds invite the guests to leave the distractions of their busy lives at the top of the steps and rediscover a pared back way of living, where there is simply a roof over your head and the sea in front of you.
