🚣‍♀️💗 What an incredible experience! 💗🚣‍♀️

I recently had the privilege of arranging travel for a very special solo traveller heading to Aix-les-Bains, France, to take part in the International Participatory Dragon Boat Festival (IPCBC).

Bringing together more than 4,500 breast cancer survivors and supporters from 26 countries around the world, this is an incredible event.

What an amazing achievement — and what a beautiful backdrop to do it in! 🇫🇷✨

The theme of TravelManagers conference was Connection. 💙💚💛

While there were plenty of highlights—industry exhibitions, inspiring speakers, a charity race around Hobart, and celebrations—the moment that stayed with me happened over breakfast.

Sitting alone one morning, the CEO noticed and asked if he could join me.

We talked a little about business, but more importantly about our families and why we do what we do. We spoke about the support within the TravelManagers network and the relationships that make this community and work so special.

It was a simple conversation, but it perfectly captured the conference theme.

In travel, connection isn't just about booking travel. It's about people. The relationships we build with our clients, our industry partners, and each other are what make memorable experiences possible.

I returned home feeling grateful, inspired, and reminded of why I love helping people explore the world.

Sure, travelling looks a little different with children 👶🏻 but impossible? No way!

If anything, it has taught me to slow down and truly appreciate destinations more thoroughly by:

🔸Having a home base
🔸Finding a favourite local cafe
🔸Exploring the parks and gardens
🔸Immersing ourselves into cultural activity
🔸Seeing the world as our children do, with open hearts & minds.
🔸Allowing a little silliness and fun to emerge!

Leave the logistics of travelling with kids to me and get back to enjoying your family holiday!

My list this weekend before heading off to TravelManagers annual conference in Hobart next week! 🎉🧳

It's an exciting opportunity to connect with other personal travel managers and receive updates from industry partners in cruising, airlines, touring and more. All knowledge to pass on to my wonderful clients. ✈️🛳️🌏

I am also honoured that I was asked to speak at one of the workshops this year. It is a privilege to share some of what I've learned and hopefully give back to a community that teaches me so much. 🥰

Clients are absolutely loving expedition travel at the moment... think Svalbard, Iceland, Greenland, Norway and, of course, Antarctica. 🏔️🐻‍❄️🛳️

I recently caught up with HX Expeditions to hear about their latest ships, destinations and what makes expedition cruising so unique. The biggest takeaway? Expedition really is for everyone.

You don't have to be an extreme adventurer to enjoy it—it's about getting closer to nature, learning from experts and experiencing places that few people ever get to see.
