are due to the VOLUNTEERS - mega efforts including marshals, aid station, forerunners, sweeps and general gadabout legends.

Extra pats on the back for Surf Coast Trail Runners , Melton City Runners, Running The Burbs, and Kate Barsby and Pete Fish for manning the on course aid stations, and Katie Boag for holding down the finishline food and our awesome medal hander-outers too many to mention (but specials to Hakka who's always there with a smile and hug, Julie Azzopardi ( the hardest working good soul in trail running!) and Kel who came second in the half and then proceeded to sling medals!!)

URGENT CALLOUT: FORERUNNER NEEDED!

Righto, so we have had our forerunner drop last minute.... so who's up for an early morning marathon to check course at Surf Coast Trail Marathon ?

Would need to run from around 6.30am tomorrow morning, giving you two hours head start on the front runners :). Or go earlier as you need.

In thanks, a FREE entry to Afterglow + Warburton Trail Fest + our new TRW wine trail run in November!

Park at Torquay - and catch one of our buses back (give some dry / warm clothes to RDs for Fairhaven end - or we will organise a lift for you back to car.

Requirements: a slightly larger trail run pack enough to carry at least a few signs and pinkies for any upkeep of the course, grab some clippers from us, a good eye for detail and a gut feel for "the RDs really should have put a marker here..." or "I think the course has been tampered... (rings RDs)"

Also - it's gonna be wet - so need someone self sufficent and able to carry the wet weather gear needed (note - no aid stations will be open as you run past so self sufficiency important)
