Sri Lanka cont…
Can’t believe how quickly the time goes. I’m now sitting at the airport waiting to head home while the group continues on for 3 more days with Neal. Had a lovely 2 day stay at the Heritance Kandalama which meant climbing Sigiriya for most of the group then a village visit which included travelling by tractor, canoe and tuk tuk! As well as a great demonstration by a lovely local woman on day to day living in country Sri Lanka. Then it was on to Kandy via Dambulla, with a visit to the Temple of the Tooth. Today we enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Grand hotel Nuwara Eliya before the group took the train to Ella and I took a car back to Colombo.

Sri Lanka Tour continued:
After two nights in Negombo we headed to Wilpattu National Park in search of leopard and sloth bears! Didn’t see a leopard but did see a vey shy sloth bear hiding behind some bushes. A great glamping experience at Mahoora Campsite, including a cooking demonstration, before heading on to the impressive Heritance Kandalama for 2 nights.
Visited the UNESCO World Heritage site of Anuradhapura on the way. This morning the group rose early to conquer Sigiriya!
