A bit of a throwback Thursday to when I was in Kenya 20+ years agoโฆ ๐ฐ๐ชโค๏ธ
Photos have a funny way of stopping you in your tracks. Today I came across this photo of me in Kenya โ 20 years ago! ๐ณ
Looking at this younger version of me, I canโt help but wonder what I would tell her if I could sit beside her for five minutes.
Iโd tell her you have absolutely no idea whatโs ahead of youโฆ and thatโs the best part.
Iโd tell her not to worry so much. To trust herself. To say yes to more adventures, take more chances, and stop wondering what everyone else thinks.
Iโd tell her that some of the places sheโll go, people sheโll meet and experiences sheโll have will shape her in ways she canโt possibly imagine yet.
And Iโd tell her that life wonโt always go according to plan. There will be heartbreak, loss, unexpected turns and moments when she questions everything. But there will also be so much laughter, love, friendship, family, incredible travel and memories that sheโll treasure forever.
Most importantly, Iโd tell her keep that sense of adventure. ๐โจ
Because 20 years later, that girl is still in there somewhere โ she just has a few more stories, a lot more life experience and probably a much bigger suitcase! ๐โ๏ธ
And if I could whisper something to my future self 20 years from now, it would simply be:
I hope youโre still saying yes. Still exploring. Still laughing. Still making memories. And I hope you never forget just how lucky you are to have lived such a big, beautiful life. โค๏ธ
From sitting on the back of a safari truck on one of my very first work trips to now sitting in my office running my own business....What a journey. ๐โค๏ธ
