In August, the Masai Mara turns into one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on the planet.

Over a million wildebeest pour across the Mara River. Crocodiles wait. Lions watch. And you're right there in the middle of it — not watching it on a screen, but standing in it.

This August, I'm taking a small group through Kenya for 11 days. We start in Nairobi with the giraffe center and elephant orphanage, move through Amboseli with Kilimanjaro on the horizon, cross into Tsavo West, then fly into the Mara just as the migration hits its peak.

Group sizes are small by design. 4-12 guests. That's how it works best. Limited availability.

If Kenya has been sitting on your bucket list, this is the year.

Drop a comment or send me a message and I'll send through the full itinerary.

Lion tracking in Ol Pejeta Conservancy is one of those truly unique safari experiences that blend adventure, education, and conservation. 🦁

Recently, my guests and I joined the dedicated Ol Pejeta rangers for a morning of lion tracking. One lion in each pride wears a small radio collar, allowing the rangers to pick up their location using radio signals from the vehicle. This helps researchers monitor the prides, study their behaviour, and ensure the long-term protection of these magnificent cats.

After following the signal across the plains, we were rewarded with an incredible sight — two lionesses, each with two tiny cubs! Watching the young ones trotting closely behind their mothers through the grasslands was pure magic and a reminder of how special these wild moments are.

Ol Pejeta is one of the best places in Africa to see conservation in action — where every safari experience contributes directly to protecting Kenya’s wildlife heritage. 💚

We do lion tracking on all my scheduled group safaris visiting Ol Pejeta Conservancy. If you wish to join me in 2026 visit www.bradyswildlifeadventures.com

We usually think of leopards when it comes to tree climbing, but lions occasionally do it too. It’s not just for fun: climbing gives them relief from biting flies and ticks on the ground, a cool breeze in the heat of the day, and sometimes even a better vantage point for spotting prey or keeping an eye on their territory.

Tree-climbing lions are most famously associated with Lake Manyara and Lake Nakuru in Kenya, where prides regularly rest in acacia branches. But I’ve often seen this behavior in the Serengeti as well, proving that lions are far more adaptable than many people realize.

With more than 3,000 lions calling it home, the Serengeti is without a doubt the best place in Africa to witness wild lions in their natural habitat. Every encounter feels unique, and watching these lionesses balance so effortlessly above the plains was a reminder of just how special this ecosystem really is.

Have you ever spotted lions in a tree, or is it on your bucket list? If you wish for the chance to see them, I have positions available on my 2026 scheduled group safaris in Tanzania. Visit https://bradyswildlifeadventures.com/2026-tanzania-safari for more information, these will sell quickly!

✨🌍 World Rhino Day ✨

Today we celebrate one of Africa’s most iconic and resilient animals — the rhino. 🦏💚 After years of devastating poaching, conservation efforts across Africa are finally paying off, and rhino populations are beginning to rise again. It’s a powerful reminder of what’s possible when communities, rangers, and conservationists come together to protect wildlife.

This white rhino and calf, filmed during my recent visit to Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya, represent hope for the future of their species. Every calf born is a victory in the fight to save rhinos from extinction.

Let’s continue to raise awareness, support conservation initiatives, and ensure future generations will have the privilege of seeing these magnificent animals in the wild. 🌿🦏

🦁 During my recent trip, I had the chance to witness a mating pair of lions in Nairobi National Park—a rare and powerful moment in the wild.

Lion mating is intense and frequent; pairs can mate up to 40 times a day over several days. This increases the chances of conception, but it’s also physically exhausting for both lions. For safari-goers, it’s an incredible glimpse into the cycle of life that keeps the savannah thriving.

What makes this even more remarkable is the setting. Nairobi National Park is unique—it’s the only national park in the world located just outside a bustling capital city. Despite its urban backdrop, the park is home to a healthy population of lions (around 35–40 individuals), along with rhinos, giraffes, and hundreds of bird species. Seeing big cats here with the city skyline in the background is truly unforgettable.

I’m excited to share that in 2026, all of my scheduled group safaris in Kenya will include a visit to Nairobi National Park, as well as a stop at the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage—an inspiring project dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned elephants.

On my recent safari, I had the privilege of photographing these stunning reticulated giraffes in Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Their intricate, net-like coat pattern is what gives them their name—and makes them one of the most striking giraffe subspecies in Africa. Sadly, their numbers have declined over the years, making sightings like this even more special.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located in the foothills of Mount Kenya, is one of East Africa’s most important wildlife sanctuaries. It’s not only home to the “Big Five,” but also famous for its pioneering conservation work—protecting endangered species, including being the last home of the world’s two remaining northern white rhinos. It’s truly a place where wildlife conservation and safari adventure meet.

I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be returning to Ol Pejeta this coming February on one of my scheduled group safaris. This incredible journey also includes time in Nairobi, Lake Nakuru, and the Maasai Mara—some of Kenya’s most iconic destinations.

📌 There are still positions available! If you’d love to join me and witness moments like this for yourself, visit my website for details:

✨ One of Africa’s most iconic sights – a leopard draped across the branches of a sausage tree, gazing out over the open plains of the Serengeti. I photographed this beautiful cat on my recent trip, and it’s a moment that truly captures the wild spirit of Tanzania.

Leopards are masters of stealth and survival. Unlike lions, they are solitary, relying on camouflage and strength to thrive. They often haul their prey up into trees—like this sausage tree—to keep it safe from scavengers such as hyenas. Their elusive nature makes every leopard encounter feel incredibly special.

The Central Serengeti is one of the very best places in Africa to see leopards in the wild. It’s also a hotspot for lions and cheetahs, making it one of the ultimate destinations for big cat lovers.

That’s why I’ve included time in the Central Serengeti on all four of my 2026 Tanzania safaris, staying at the brand-new luxurySerengeti Explorer Lodge. It’s the perfect base to experience these unforgettable moments.

This was a moment I’ll never forget from my recent trip to Kenya—watching a massive herd of Cape buffalo arrive at the waterhole right in front of Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge in Tsavo West.

Cape buffalo are incredible animals. Herds can number from just a few dozen to over a thousand, moving together with a power and unity that’s mesmerizing to watch. They’re also known as one of Africa’s “Big Five,” and despite their heavy build, they’re surprisingly fast and agile when threatened.

What makes this sighting even more special is the setting. Kilaguni Serena is one of the most iconic lodges in Tsavo West, with sweeping views of the Chyulu Hills and Mt. Kilimanjaro on a clear day. The lodge overlooks a natural waterhole that attracts wildlife throughout the day—elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and even big cats come to drink here, meaning you can often enjoy remarkable game viewing without even leaving the lodge.

I’m excited to share that in 2026 I’ll be hosting two scheduled group safaris that will include time in Tsavo West with a stay at Kilaguni Serena. If you’d love to experience moments like this for yourself, visit my website for more details:

A true giant of Africa 🦏✨

This magnificent white rhino with an impressively long horn was photographed at Solio Ranch, Kenya – a sanctuary known for its pioneering rhino conservation work. White rhinos are the second-largest land mammals on Earth, weighing up to 2,300 kg (5,000 lbs), yet they are surprisingly gentle grazers, feeding almost exclusively on grass.

Their horns, made entirely of keratin (the same protein in our hair and nails), can grow over 1.5 meters (5 feet) in length. Unfortunately, this remarkable feature has also made them targets for poaching, as rhino horn is falsely prized in some cultures. Sanctuaries like Solio Ranch are critical in protecting and rebuilding rhino populations for future generations.

📸 Every time I see a rhino in the wild, I’m reminded of just how fragile and precious Africa’s wildlife is—and why I feel called to share these experiences with others.

If you’ve ever dreamed of witnessing these gentle giants up close, join me on one of my 2026 scheduled group safaris. Spots are limited, and I’d love for you to be part of the journey!
