I meet with a dynamic group of business professionals every Wednesday morning at 9.00am at the West Australian Golf Club in Yokine with the sole purpose of assisting each other in business. I know, like and trust these professionals so when I refer one of them to my family and friends, my credibility is also on the line. If you would like to join us for a hot breakfast I will need to send you a link to register as there is a $33 charge. We are currently looking for a property manager and a photographer to join our group. Do you know of anyone who you can recommend? It would have to be someone who can handle more work though. It was reported that an Australian consumer booked and paid for a cruise to the Caribbean departing from Fort Lauderdale Florida on a USA website. Everything seemed to be in order with tickets printed and passports in hand until they arrived at the dock to check-in only to be told that they had booked on a fare that was only applicable to USA passport holders. Yes there are different fares for different folk and yes it was stated on the booking conditions but the passenger didn’t take notice.
They were only permitted to board once they had paid the difference in fares. How embarrassing and stressful would that have been.
Once again had they placed their trust in an Australian travel agent like ourselves this would not have happened.
I would like to remind everyone that although the internet is great for research it will only tell you what you ask.

Something you should be aware of.

I was recently travelling to Bali with a group of travel agents to do hotel inspections and noticed a group of young people travelling together on our flight.
They were travelling to Bali to celebrate their friends 21st birthday. The group had booked through a travel agent however birthday boy booked his online thinking is was cheaper, WRONG.
On check-in at Perth Airport birthday boy didn’t realise that he required 6 months validity on his passport from his date of return to Australia and was denied boarding.
All his friends travelled as they were advised by their agent of the validity requirement. Birthday boy had to purchase a new ticket, arrived 2 days later and missed the celebrations.
I would like to remind everyone that although the internet is great for research it will only tell you what you ask.
So “without a travel agent you are on your own”
